Op 28 september 2026 is het de dag van de uitgezaaide darmkanker (World mCRC day), een jaarlijks initiatief in september om de strijd tegen uitgezaaide darmkanker onder de aandacht te brengen.
In het kader van deze dag willen wij u graag informeren over:
Meer grip op de behandelkeuzes voor patiënten
Patiënten willen steeds meer betrokken zijn bij hun ziekteproces.
Ondersteuning bij de biomarkeruitslag
Het is belangrijk om uw patiënten goed te informeren over biomarkers na een diagnose van CRC, zodat zij meer inzicht hebben in het ziekteverloop en de mogelijke behandelopties.
“Know your biomarkers” is een belangrijk aandachtspunt tijdens Word mCRC day 2026. Een duidelijke video over biomarkers bij CRC werd gemaakt door Patiëntenbegrijpen in samenwerken met Stichting Darmkanker in Nederland. U kunt deze video bekijken via deze link.
Wanneer en welke biomarkers test u voor uw patiënten met (uitgezaaide) darmkanker?
De tijd dat een richtlijn eens in de zoveel jaar geüpdate werd is voorbij. Ook bij darmkanker.
ESMO heeft een “living” mCRC guideline gepubliceerd, dit is een richtlijn die voortdurend up-to-date wordt gehouden op basis van nieuwe inzichten uit klinische studies.
Een beeld zegt meer dan 1000 woorden
Pierre Fabre maakt het mogelijk om beeldmateriaal te gebruiken voor presentaties en voor verduidelijking naar patiënten.
Deze beelden kunnen bijvoorbeeld gebruikt worden om medische termen, onderzoeken en behandelingen makkelijk en duidelijk uit te leggen aan patiënten of collega’s. Ook is het mogelijk om beeldmateriaal te gebruiken op de website van het ziekenhuis voor patiëntinformatie.
